So just how do you innovate?

Businesses are regularly being told to be innovative in their approach in order to grow their business and stay one step ahead of the competition but what does being ‘innovative’ really mean? Help is now at hand.

Revealed at the Kent2020 Vision LIVE B2B event for the first time was a totally new guide to innovation for small businesses -  the InnovationKit.

Based on research from nearly 500 small businesses and a major report by the University of Greenwich, the InnovationKit provides information in a totally new mind map format, all available online, and free.

Still in its testing phase, BSK, Medway Council and University of Greenwich demonstrated the touch screen based technology to visitors at Kent2020. Designed to help take businesses through different aspects of innovation from, ‘Finding a new idea’ to ‘Financing a project’ and ‘Growing sales’ it can be used as a quick reference guide or a learning plan -  it just depends on what you need to know.

If you are interested in helping to test the InnovationKit please contact BSK on 08457 226655 or info@bsk-cic.co.uk.

The New Deal for Innovation Project will be launching the InnovationKit on the 2nd July at the University of Greenwich Medway campus. There will also be a short presentation on the survey results and the team will try to answer the question of ‘What does an innovator look like?’!
